Sydney for the APPA weekend 25th-30th June 2009
Trish and I went north to Sydney for the Australian Professional Photography Awards (APPA). We entered four images which were the maximum allowed for this contest.
I received a Silver award for one of my images, although I was hoping for at least four of them. I tend to put high expectations on myself; it is the only way to become more proficient at what I love to do.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the Brides & Grooms whom have chosen Kristof Photography to shoot their weddings. Without you, I would not have been able to enter these competitions, and attend the industry's professional events.
This is my second attendance at the APPA; the first time was to see what it was about and how I could start acquiring National Award points. I hope to obtain my Masters within the next five years, by consistently entering the highest quality photographs at all major competitions.
I left for Sydney on the Thursday with my good friend and colleague, Colin, who is a double Master and teacher at Photography Studies College (PSC) Melbourne, while Trish travelled up the next day.
We did end up having a wonderful weekend in Sydney, and it was also a chance for me to have a little break from my studio and computer. I would like to share with you some of the images from that weekend. The first four are my competition entries, guess which one won?

These are some images that are just for me.
